Your Watchdog in City Hall.

Saving your hard-earned taxpayer dollars and solving problems.

“Residents want our city to be more effective and efficient -- that’s why I want to bring my experience and cost-saving background to the Auditor’s Office. I will hold the next administration accountable, help solve problems, and make sure City government works for you.”

Why I'm Running

My name is David Galin. I am a proud Democrat, attorney, son of a union mechanic, and resident of Albany's Helderberg Neighborhood.

And I am running to become Albany's next Chief City Auditor.

I am running to become your watchdog in City Hall. I want to save hard-earned taxpayer dollars. And I want to continue to help solve the problems our neighbors face.

And these aren’t just buzzwords to me. I live and breathe this work every day.

As a senior leader in municipal government for nearly 10 years, I have worked to enhance public safety, improve quality of life, deliver essential City services, lead through a global pandemic, create more affordable housing at every income level, and transform our neighborhoods with world-class amenities.

But I don't do the work for the accolades or the pay. I don't do this work because it would look good on the resume. I don't want this job because it's the next opportunity on the career ambitions chart.

I do this work because I care. I do this work because Albany, once my adopted city, is my home. I do this because I want our city to be a better place for everyone.

And I truly believe our future has never been brighter.
