How Dave Will Save
David will be the watchdog of the next administration, all while saving hard-earned taxpayer dollars and working every day to help solve the complex issues facing our city.
David is committed to taking on those challenges and advocating for Albany's residents by undertaking meaningful, thorough audits that will make Albany an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.

Enhance Public Safety
Many residents and visitors continue to feel unsafe even though crime rates are down. David will work closely with the Albany Police Department, Albany County District Attorney, and other local and state law enforcement officials to understand the root causes of violence and work collaborative to make Albany even safer.

Combat the Mental Health, Homelessness, and Substance Abuse Crisis
People are struggling with mental illness, homelessness, and substance use and abuse—and many are unable or unwilling to access the help they so desperately need.
David will work with the Albany Navigates team and Albany County Department of Mental Health to continue expanding the resources available to those suffering and work to advocate for additional resources to address the growing crisis.

Create More Housing
Despite thousands of new housing units coming online over the last decade, Albany's supply of new housing is limited—yet more people are moving to Albany because our city has become a hub for innovation and will be the future home of the National Semiconductor Technology Center.
David will work with the next administration and Common Council to gain a deep understanding of what factors are driving the slowing development of new housing in Albany. David will also work collaboratively to help develop new programs and policies designed to encourage more new housing that is affordable at every income level.
Improve Quality of Life
David worked alongside a number of dedicated public servants to help create the new Department of Neighborhood and Community Services to centralize and improve Albany's SeeClickFix constituent issue response, and it's already paying dividends. Even with those efficiencies, filling potholes, fixing sidewalks, cleaning vacant lots, replacing faded street signs, and picking up illegal trash still takes longer than our residents demand.
David will work with every department to improve response times—and with that, help improve the quality of life for Albany's residents.
